Days 11-20
Day 11
I tried to focus a lot more on contrasting elements, either in colour or lighting, and I think it went decently well. it was a bright sunny day out, so that really helped with being able to find contrast.

I'm also getting a lot more used to the new camera and found that I'm really liking the macro shots this thing can take, so I'll be playing with that tomorrow
Day 12
I'm for sure a fan of macro photos. maybe not as a default type of photos, but it definitely adds some much needed spice to things. I think there's definitely a lot more to develop this skillset, but I'll go back to more of the regular type of photography for now.

For tomorrow, I think I'll try to continue with the contrasting elements and see what that yields
Day 13
I got a new camera today (Lumix GF2) and this thing is a street photography beast. I was just going out to test it on a variety of things, but it's just so good for street photos. It's not really a genre of photography that I'm used to, but it's definitely an interesting one.

Tomorrow I'll be trying more for the contrasting elements, today turned out to be a street photography day
Day 14
I started by getting some more contrasting shots by trying to use plants in the foreground to pair against the subject, which worked decently well.

After a bit, I found myself at Marche Atwater, and couldn't resist taking some more street photography there
Day 15
Went out of Chinatown and old port around sunset to try and get photos from a different time from when I normally go out shooting. I think it worked pretty well, and I was able to get some contrasting shots pretty well. I think that sunrise or sunset are probably the best times to get that heavy contrast in photos, which is probably what I've been missing when looking for contrast.
Day 16
Went out today with the tiny point and shoot to try and get some bright summery shots, and I think it turned out alright. I was for sure too tired to be able to really get anything I was super happy with though.
Day 17
It was a rainy day out and I didn't want to get water in the new Lumix camera, so I just took out the point and shoot again to try and get some close up shots of the water on some of the plants nearby. I think it turned out pretty well.
Day 18
Today ended up mostly being about textures. Wood grain, or bricks, or panels on the side of a house. I think I like this focus on textures, so I'll try it again tomorrow with more intention and see how that goes
Day 19
I tried to really focus on the textures on things today, which involved getting pretty up close to everything. Once your that close to, it's interesting how small lighting changes can really affect the overall picture and add contrast to it. I for sure want to do more of this type of work, it really makes you focus on the little details

Tomorrow I might be attending a food festival, so if I do, then it'll be a lot of street photography.
Day 20
The food festival was very much not what I was expecting it to be, and I didn't end up getting the types of shots I was prepared for as a result. I spent some time outside in downtown, but didn't really get much that I was really wanting.

I really need to be bringing out a different lens for this sort of stuff, the 14mm (28 full frame) doesn't really give me the shots that I'm looking for, and always need a lot of cropping
